I thought today I would do a simple makeup look, I wanted a very basic but glowy look. However, when I looked in my collection I noticed all my primers are matte so am in need of some new primers so recommendations are wanted, I decided to go straight in with foundation after my moisturiser.
To start I applied the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation all over my face using a stippling brush, this works best to achieve the dewy look I wanted. It is such a natural looking base but I definitely think that mine is a tad too light so when I repurchase I will repurchase in another shade but the shade Ivory doesn’t look out of place when I put bronzer on. I then went on to put the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer under my eyes, it is so brightening and doesn’t crease as much as others I have tried. It adds such a nice glow to my under eyes, it really does work wonders on my skin! I blend this into my skin with a beauty blender – best way of course! I then go to cover up any blemishes using the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, this blends so easily using a beauty blender and doesn’t need topping up throughout the day – perfect.
I then went on to bronze my face using the Ciate London Bamboo Bronzer in the shade Palm Island, this gave me a nice summery glow and made me look a lot less pale. This bronzer isn’t orangey at all and just gives a nice natural sun-kissed finish. I wanted the focus of my makeup to be on the highlight so decided to use the amazing Sleek Solstice Palette which has the strongest pigmentation in the world no lie. I went in with the more gold toned highlight and it made my face pop, I applied it on the tops of my cheekbones, on my cupids bow and on the end of my nose. The highlight is very buildable so I just kept going in for more using one of my fan brushes.
Next I went on to do my brows and I wanted something very simple just to add bit of colour and structure – nothing major. So I decided to use my Maybelline Brow Drama Crayon, this honestly is the easiest brow product in the world. I apply it smoothly in my brows and then go through with a spooky – that simple. I didn’t want anything major on my eyes so just decided to put my Ciate bronzer through my crease and leave it as that as all I wanted the focus to be on the base products not on my eyes. To finish off my eyes I put the Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded mascara through my lashes to add some volume to the look and make me look a lot less tired. This is one of my favourite mascaras as I love this style of wand so much.
Now I wanted something very simple for my lips so what better than a pinky sparkly nude? I applied the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade Eastend Snob all over my lips to act as a nude pink base colour before putting the L’Oréal Infallible Mega Gloss in the shade Never Let Me Go on top, I mentioned in my May Favourites (which you can read here) how much I have been loving lip gloss recently so decided it would go perfectly with this look.
That is it for the makeup look, I hope you enjoyed reading this very simple but gorgeous makeup look!
